So I forgot to post about last week's meeting so I'm going to do it now. We talked about a couple resources at our disposal for the Christmas struggle... as well as to help us in the new year. This blog was one of them and www.livestrong.com was the other. This website is a free website where they have a calorie counter that you can use with restaurants as well as other food you eat during the day. It's just a more technological way to journal what you ate during the day. You can even input the type and amount of exercise you did and it will readjust the amount of calories you are allowed that day.

We also discussed ways to stop eating close to bedtime. One suggestion was to find something other than food to keep your hands busy. If you are a crafty person, you could scrapbook, crochet, knit, or something similar. If you're not crafty, you could clip coupons, get things ready for the next day that need to get done and other things like that.

We are meeting on Saturdays during the Christmas holiday still at 9:30 so feel free to join us in the chapel at BCC. Let me know if you have any questions by posting to this blog. You don't have to have a blogger account to post, you can post as anonymous and then leave your name as part of your post.

The Beginning

So I've set up this blog as a way we at Beavercreek Christian Church that are trying to lose weight can talk about things we are dealing with in our weight loss. I will give you a password and username if you ask me in person for it. That way we can build each other up and encourage each other through this outlet. So check back here periodically to see if anyone has written anything encouraging that would help you if you're struggling. If you want to make any changes, feel free to do so or let me know and I can change it. If this isn't working for you, let me know and maybe we can try something else. I want this to be something we use and can let others from church use to help them even if they aren't coming regularly to our 9:30 Saturday morning meeting. I'll probably also write what we talked about at those meetings on here for those who missed the meeting or were unable to attend.
